We’re so excited to launch our new collaborative series: SONIKSTATIKA
After more than a decade each of living, creating, facilitating and building community in different corners of the world, we’ve found a lot of shared ground. SONIKSTATIKA brings together the worlds we’ve spent years developing relationships with: sound, music, cacao, movement, wellness, nature, ceremony and creative facilitation.
We’re interested in how these practices can come together to engage the whole person. Each gathering will have its own character and intention, weaving together sound journeys, ecstatic dance, live music, storytelling, cacao, teachings and collective exploration.
Our experiences living, travelling and working across cultures, including long periods of communal living, have deeply influenced how we gather and create. We’re grateful to the people and communities who have shared their knowledge and traditions with us, and believe in engaging with traditions beyond our own upbringing thoughtfully, respectfully and with a willingness to keep learning.
Through SONIKSTATIKA, we’ll share some of what we’ve learned along the way, exploring different themes, teachings and perspectives through sound, movement, music and community.
11/11 feels like a fitting threshold: a moment to reflect on what we’re carrying forward and what might be ready to emerge in this new season ahead.
To open the series, we’re bringing together cacao, ecstatic dance and an immersive live sound journey.
For these events we will prepare and share cacao together before moving into an ecstatic dance guided by Brisa’s live DJ set, followed by a sound journey with Kris featuring medicine flutes, didgeridoo, handpan, crystal singing bowls, vocal intonement, live looping and more. We’ll also share different themes relevant to each unique offering.
$55 (e-transfer to either of us via DM, or https://www.eventbrite.com/…/sonikstatika-sound-healing…)
We would be honoured to have you come launch SONIKSTATIKA with us. Our intention is for these offerings to be truly magical containers, full of connection and transformation.
